First Clark, now Cullen

Former Deputy PM Michael Cullen has announced he will be resigning from Parliament at the end of the month to take up a position on the NZ Post board. I'm sure he'll be good at it, but he'll be missed. Question Time won't be half as entertaining without his daily humiliation of Gerry Brownlee for his ignorance of House procedure, and Trevor Mallard is a very poor substitute. But as with other politicians, he's given us far more time than we have any right to expect from anyone, and he deserves his life back - even if he's then going to waste it on making sure the mail is delivered.

Unfortunately, this means Damien O'Connor will be back in Parliament. Bugger.
